Consumer Boycott
The Palestine Solidarity Committee is presently compiling
a list of Israeli products sold in South Africa and of companies
that either invest in, or support, Israel. This list will be used to campaign
among consumers so that ordinary South Africans may participate
in the process of isolating Israel by refusing to purchase any
of these products or services.
Pick 'n Pay
The Palestine Solidarity Committee is calling for a total boycott
of all Pick 'n Pay stores and affiliates as Pick 'n Pay refuses
to remove Israeli-imported products from their shelves.
Coca-Cola
Coca-Cola continues to be honored by Israel for its support,
including its refusal to abide by the Arab League boycott of Israel.
Danone
Danone is a recipient of the Jubilee Award, the highest tribute
awarded by Israel in recognition of organizations that have
strengthened its economy.
IBM
IBM invests heavily in Israel and was one of three US companies
that wase lauded at the America-Israel Friendship League Partners
for Democracy Awards.
Nestlé
Nestlé is a recipient of the Jubilee Award, the highest tribute
awarded by Israel in recognition of organizations that have strengthened its economy.
Nestlé also owns half of the Israeli food company, Osem Investments;
Nokia
Nokia has started to invest heavily in Israel and is looking for
Israeli start-ups with which it can co-operate.
