The Palestine Solidarity Committee of South Africa (PSCSA) was formed in 1998 as a secular initiative to promote the Palestinian cause in South Africa and to lead an international anti-apartheid movement against Apartheid Israel.

PSCSA members are well-known South African political and trade union activists, cultural workers, sports and religious personalities and former anti-apartheid activists from a number of political tendencies.

The PSCSA declaration focuses on the parallels between South African and Israeli apartheid and the parallels between the liberation struggles. It calls for an end to Israeli occupation, the return of the Palestinian refugees and for the establishment of a secular democratic Palestinian state.

PSCSA members are also members of the Political and Media Committee of the National Consultative Forum on Palestine (NCFP). The NCFP is a forum where various organizations working in different ways on Palestinian support could liaise with each other, share ideas and develop common programs.
